What Parents Say
“I had issues with frequent night wakes between sleep cycles where my son wants his dummy or a feed that were resulting in myself and my husband to get up as many as 8 times per night! In addition, he was waking up on average at 5am sometimes earlier which was leaving me exhausted after a 15/16 hr day. We also found that after sleep regressions he was fighting naps and bedtimes causing immense stress for us all.
Emma helped me set a more structured sleep routine, capping his day sleep to 3hrs and helping reduce overtired behaviour through being observant of wake windows. In addition, she helped us create other sleep associations other than a bottle and dummy, making wake periods at night shorter and more manageable. The advice given also helped me better understand the root causes of the issues and how to fix them in a gentle way.
A structured sleep schedule has helped give us more control at night and extra tools to settle our son when upset st night. A later bedtime also helped us with getting a later start in the morning which has been a major benefit to us (6/6.30).
I recommend definitely giving [working with Emma] a try as you will see positive results from a good sleep routine and having that outside perspective/analysis really helps you understand where or what the problems are and their underlying causes. Emma is also really good at troubleshooting when things go wrong & will work with you and your baby to get the improvements desired!”
Tasha, mum of 6-month-old
My little one Ruby who is 20 months old, always had a sleep regression when she hit a developmental milestone. After suffering several months of broken sleep (what I initially thought was another regression) I was searching everywhere online for help and tips but nothing useful was found. I was the only person to be able to settle Ruby back to bed, sometimes meant being in her room for hours! I finally decided something needed to change and asked Emma for help.
Emma was so understanding I felt like she could really relate in my situation. She listened to all my concerns and my goals with Ruby’s sleep. She provided me with a super detailed sleep plan, I found it really helpful since there was options to what I choose to implement and the reason to why I was doing it. I had been hesitant to sleep train as I had originally thought it’s an all or nothing kind of idea.
Emma guiding me through some changes to Ruby’s sleep schedule (with me asking lots of questions) I saw result almost instantly. She was sleeping through the night again! I was so glad, seeing light at the end of tunnel. After a couple of good night sleeps I realised how much I was running on empty before and the anxiety I had over Ruby’s bedtime/sleep.
If she has a bad night sleep now I now have more understanding and have the confidence to adapt her schedule accordingly. Surprisingly improving her sleep meant I had to confidence to wean from breastfeeding and go to exercise classes (Daddy can do bedtime).
I now enjoy bedtime cuddles so much more!
